Since this app is geo-located at select airports, users needed to grant permission for location and camera. Once the user opts in, they are able to take a selfie, enter their information and see the generated postcards.
Rhode Island Tourism successfully launched the mobile site and immediately saw positive user-feedback. Our KPI’s included total complete sessions, number of photos taken, postcard chosen (most and least), number of email addresses entered.
Early on we realized this needed to be a simple experience because of our audience primarily being travelers in airports. They are usually hurried, and wasting little time unless they are delayed. Therefore, we chose to have the photo opportunity directly after postcard selection.
